Position Overview
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users, and maintaining the overall IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide prompt and efficient support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including operating system and application issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems, including installing patches and upgrades.
- User Assistance: Assist end-users with setting up new accounts, configuring systems, and troubleshooting various IT-related issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes in the IT ticketing system.
- IT Projects: Support IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, new software deployments, and hardware installations.
- Security: Ensure adherence to security protocols and practices to safeguard the company’s IT infrastructure and data.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or Equivalent: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with Windows and Mac operating systems, office applications, and network connectivity.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think critically and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
